Having worked hard over the last year or so and located five cannon sites on a six mile stretch of the Chesil beach and then almost falling over a wreck right on our doorstep (See September Dive news section) What do we do next? Just investigating the inshore sites we have already located is a life time’s work. What I now have to do is contemplate if any of these sites are likely to create enough interest for us to investigate further. In the short term my plan as far as further sidescan work goes is to move to deeper water and we have already started this process. This time rather than just a blanket search we are looking at hot spots we have researched over the last few years. Potential targets range from 17th century shipwrecks to modern day aircraft however in all cases there is a tale to tell. If we do decide to take a closer look at what we have found so far first thing I have to decide is do I want to pay (In the form of a license) to investigate a site that we found??
